#bubblewatch update:

It's good seeing this kind of thing in #newsmedia consumed by average people. It's bad seeing this kind of thing glossing over the details to the extent it becomes unconvincing in order to be consumed by average people.

The #AI #bubble could be worse than the dot-com bust. https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/5925202-tech-bubble-ai-driven-growth/

But with both the broader economy and the ongoing bull market relying heavily on a concentrated AI-driven boom, the fallout from a burst bubble could be severe.

Yesterday, Andy Burnham took the train down to London to attend Parliament on his first day back as an MP.... And Sky News followed the train in a helicopter the whole way offering a live feed for the news of his progress. Did Sky calculate taking the helicopter was cheaper than paying for train tickets for the film crew? Did the news want to gain a similar effect as from a state funeral? What is going on with the news? Who knows? #politics #NewsMedia h/t James Hutchinson/LinkedIN

We're jumping on a plane and heading to Perugia for #IJF26 This year, we're looking forward to talking to even more people in the world of journalism who believe in community and protecting news values. We hope that they can see the future of the Social Web is a solution for journalists. At our lunch event, we'll be highlighting combined efforts across the Open Social Web, including both AP and ATProto. We hope it's a success! #Journalism #News #SocialWeb #NewsMedia
