#Kids Can’t Stop Watching ‘#Moana.’ There’s a Scientific Explanation The 2016 release has become the most watched movie on #Disney+. Parents and experts explain why kids can’t get enough The #songs in almost every #Disney animated #musical film released in the past few decades have been a danger to parents’ peace and quiet. Disney deployed an age-old formula: Take a narrative with broad appeal, wrap it in hooky melodies and watch the views rack up https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/11/movies/moana-kids-obsession.html https://archive.ph/D4jIh

@mlanger@mastodon.world My big #achievement today was getting all my #guitars hung on the wall. We've been in the new house for three months, but there's been so many things to do that I haven't made time for the #music. There's still some of my #musical #inspiration #pictures to be hung to give the room a more lived in feel.

Back in the #1970s I set up a #onemanband. #JesseFuller was my #inspiration and his Fotdilla. My equivalent were self generating bass #pedals. I upgraded over years. The ELKA SGP150 were the last set. They died around 2014. I bought #Studiologic MP-113 MIDI pedals as a replacement with a Midiplus MiniEngine sound generator, but the combination never worked well so the band's been in abeyance since then. I always claim the band broke up due to #musical #differences Last week I #discovered the #Behringer Pro VS Mini, a pocket sized #synthesiser. The one man band could be on the way to performing again.
