Presumably #Burnham knows that by picking Mahmood for Chancellor he’s kissed goodbye to getting back traditional #Labour voters who have recently turned #Green before he’s even got the keys to Number 10? #Mahmood is #LabourTogether , she is against democratic protest , there is no evidence she gets the scale of the climate crisis or realises that inequality is tearing this country apart. This does not bode well for anyone.

Asylum seekers will be ordered to pay about £10,000 to cover their state-funded living costs or be denied settled status in the UK under a new law to be considered by MPs today. The means-tested scheme, compared by officials to student loans and included in the immigration and asylum bill, has been condemned by charities for placing a tax on refugees fleeing war, torture and famine. Alf Dubs, the Labour peer, called on Friday for #Burnham to move #Mahmood out of the Home Office and for her asylum policies of “performative cruelty” to be ripped up. 👏 👏 It is believed she will open up two 'safe routes' when her wicked measures are introduced on Tuesday How far Burnham backs her will be very telling.....
