Delighted by one of the late-game highlights of my last #BandcampFriday binge. Updated #Stereolab vibes akimbo, absolutely doing her own thing but they share a love for chilled-out #krautrock beats. Which is good, the main point of the motorik beat and its siblings is that it never gets old! I also dig the cover art enough to have also splurged on the vinyl to eventually feature on my planned Rotating Vinyl Art Wall once it's back in commission https://ssspacemoth.bandcamp.com/album/inward-eye-2

Another #BandcampFriday to go hog wild on! I'll recommend this one for consideration: one part #krautrock, half a cup of #acid-folk, all wrapped up in an experimental #psychedelic jam band collective of the best sort Their approach to making music feels very reminiscent of #CAN, which from me is the highest form of compliment. Also brings #KikagakuMoyo and #Upupayama to mind https://blindyeo.bandcamp.com/album/the-lemoine-point #BlindYeo

New #review today: "Over the last 13 years, Sweden’s #Agusa has done something a lot of so-called “retro” prog acts never quite pull off: they’ve made the past feel present-tense. Yes, the ingredients are familiar — late-60s/early-70s #ProgressiveRock, Scandinavian folk melodies, touches of #Krautrock repetition — but this isn’t museum work. It’s muscle memory. It breathes, expands, contracts." #ExposeOnline http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/agusa-panacea-6.html

#NowPlaying Conrad Schnitzler - Rot 🎧This one isn't for everyone but I dig it. I find it easy to get lost in (in a good way). I love the experimental goodness. And some education for the day, Rot is German for Red. I'm here to help. #krautrock #electronic #experimental

#nowplaying #krautrock #kraan Kraan back at it!

Embryo's Rache by Embryo, released on United Artists Records in 1971. Mellotron Storm wrote on Prog Archives ...Jimi Jackson from AMON DULL II adds mellotron, organ and piano. Jimi likes to distort his keyboards so it all sounds so good. Ahh Krautrock. There is some Farfisa on here too that happened to be in Dieter Dierks studio where they recorded it in 1971. Love the picture of the four guys (which includes Jimi) in the liner notes. By the way I think this is a definite improvement over their debut. "Tausendfussler" opens with vocals expressions, percussion and what sounds like congas. It kicks in around a minute with flute playing over top... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkh14P7FVX4 #Embryo #Krautrock #Cosmishe #Flute #Mellotron #JazzRock #Franco #Music

Ended the weekeend and welcomed the week with In den Gärten Pharaos ("In Pharaoh's Gardens") the second album by German band Popol Vuh, released in 1971 by record label Pilz. On side A is the title track "In den Gärten Pharaos", an ancient, contemplative meditation with the sound of rippling water, Moog synthesizer, Fender Rhodes, and African percussion. The Moog creates an exotic and alien sound while the African percussion and the water effects are interwoven throughout bringing the listener back to earth.[citation needed] The track was recorded at Trixi Studio in Munich. The second song "Vuh" is dominated by one massive organ chord creating an epic wall of sound. "Vuh" uses the wide range of the organ, both the low drones and the high crescendos. Turkish percussion and layers of cymbals increase the intensity of the music... - Wikipedia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkzmKC-M7_4&list=OLAK5uy_kCgxGRHzHNhW_5MNyCmNM7IEHUB5-B3V0 #PopulVuh #Cosmiche #Moog #FlorianFlicke #Music #Ambient #Krautrock
