#KenPaxton was not born in Texas, his family was not from Texas, he's not a native Texan, he didn't come to Texas as a boy, he's an, uh, immigrant to Texas, so not sure why he's lecturing 8th generation Texan James Talarico on Texas bbq, Texas manliness, Texas Bible, or Texas anything. Wouldn't now be the time for Ken Paxton to self-deport back to Minot, ND?

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: #KenPaxton has been forced to admit that #Talarico does in fact eat barbecue, and now wants to try to nitpick HOW Talarico eats barbecue. Good thing there are no serious issues to discuss in the #Texas race for #Senate. https://www.rawstory.com/james-talarico-ken-paxton-barbecue/

yahoo news | Texas lawsuit accuses Meta, WhatsApp of misleading users on privacy AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against Meta Platforms and its WhatsApp service, alleging the company misled users by claiming their encrypted messages are inaccessible to Meta when they are not, and accusing Meta of putting profit over user protections and making half‑truths about past privacy breaches. The suit, filed in Harrison County, also references prior privacy violations such as the Cambridge Analytica scandal, FTC consent decrees, and a $1.4 billion Texas settlement over biometric data collection. At the same time, Paxton opened a separate privacy investigation into Meta’s Ray‑Ban smart glasses, claiming they may record audio/video and collect facial data without consent, potentially allowing Meta contractors to access recordings. Meta denied the allegations, stating WhatsApp cannot access encrypted communications, that privacy is core to its products, and that it will fight the lawsuit. The Atlantic | The Republican Senate Candidate Who Could Lose Texas by Elaine Godfrey AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. In Texas’s Republican Senate primary runoff, former President Donald Trump finally endorsed Attorney General Ken Paxton over longtime Senator John Cornyn, a move that electrified his base despite Paxton’s long trail of legal and ethical scandals—including indictments, impeachment, accusations of personal misconduct, and numerous lawsuits against Democratic administrations. While Trump’s backing is seen as a guarantee of a primary win for Paxton, many Republicans warn that his controversial history could make the general election far more competitive, potentially opening the door for Democrat James Talarico and ending the state’s 40‑year streak of Republican Senate victories; Cornyn, by contrast, is viewed as a more electable, moderate choice, but Trump’s endorsement underscores the deepening split within the party between establishment figures and the MAGA‑driven grassroots that now dominate Texas politics. The Daily Beast Latest Articles | Opinion: A Car Crash President Is Driving His Party Off a Cliff. Buckle Up! by Michael Ian Black AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. The piece argues that, bizarrely, Donald Trump – portrayed as the most corrupt and unpopular modern president – still wields an “unbreakable chokehold” on the Republican Party, as evidenced by this week’s primaries where Trump‑backed challengers ousted incumbents such as Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy and Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie (the latter losing after demanding the full release of the “Epstein files”). The author notes that Trump has also turned on former allies like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert for similar reasons, and wonders what fuels his continued grip: raw charisma, a twisted vision of America, or a messianic appeal to a base that ignores constitutional limits. The article cites a February poll showing 60 % of MAGA hard‑liners still support a third Trump term, despite its illegality, and warns that his influence could shape the 2026 midterms and set up a “rigged election” narrative for 2028. Ultimately, the author laments the tragedy of a party loyal to a leader who has built a $1.8 billion slush fund, defended the Jan. 6 insurrectionists, and threatens democratic norms, urging millions of voters to choose a different path in the upcoming elections.
