AltText: profile-Drawing of guillotine; header-golden field under blue sky. Think Kansas or east #Dakota My #superpower is that I really enjoy being the Radar O'Reilly of an office. Sure, I learned to code because I love cajoling a computer into doing what I ask it to. It's empowering. I think it also helped me learn to communicate better. Really, though, my favorite part of learning to code was helping my classmates learn to code. It never gets old. I approve followers cuz I'm the only me.

#JohnCornyn is my #senator.
I have never cast a #vote for him, and I've even protested at his local office.
I'm glad he finally put on his adulting pants.

Crap. Now #Trump is saying he’ll just wait until #JohnCornyn & #ThomTillis leave the #Senate, & then he’ll re-nominate #ToddBlanche.
Trump suggested Thursday that he could withdraw Blanche’s nomination to become attorney general until next year, as a standoff continues with the 2 Republican senators who are demanding concessions from the admin before supporting Blanche.

The Atlantic | The Republican Senate Candidate Who Could Lose Texas by Elaine Godfrey
AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.
In Texas’s Republican Senate primary runoff, former President Donald Trump finally endorsed Attorney General Ken Paxton over longtime Senator John Cornyn, a move that electrified his base despite Paxton’s long trail of legal and ethical scandals—including indictments, impeachment, accusations of personal misconduct, and numerous lawsuits against Democratic administrations. While Trump’s backing is seen as a guarantee of a primary win for Paxton, many Republicans warn that his controversial history could make the general election far more competitive, potentially opening the door for Democrat James Talarico and ending the state’s 40‑year streak of Republican Senate victories; Cornyn, by contrast, is viewed as a more electable, moderate choice, but Trump’s endorsement underscores the deepening split within the party between establishment figures and the MAGA‑driven grassroots that now dominate Texas politics.
