Work to repair the collapsed power pylons in Herat has been accelerated. The Afghan Electricity Company says its technical teams have sped up work to repair the collapsed pylons in the Band-e-Qarach region of Rabat Sangi district in Herat. The company says efforts are underway to restore electricity to Herat as soon as possible. The pylons and lines were damaged last week due to severe cold and a storm.
