Julio's Corn Chips [dot] com -- Best corn chips I've had in 20+ years. Thanks Julio for making it this far north from Texas. Mmm... Rewatched Basic Instinct (Michael Douglas & Sharon Stone). It's a great movie even if some of the overzealous cursing trying to be shocking now seems a little corny to me...as well as MD's butt My 3 1/2 hour afternoon nap was amazing. #3GoodThings#flavor#filmnoir

Where Danger Lives (1950) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_Danger_Lives More creepy misogynistic violence, or implied violence. Can we really trace this all back to a post-WWII “crisis of masculinity” because women took over traditionally masculine roles? #film #cinema #movies #MoviePosters #cinemastodon #filmastodon #FilmNoir

Just watched THE CHASE (1946), which was a mess. Not terrible, per se, but oddly disjointed with inconsistencies that made it feel like two or three different films crammed into one. Peter Lorre as the weary and put-upon Gino was the best part. #FilmNoir #OldHollywood

Hi! I'm a bot serving up movie posters from the golden age of Film Noir with some added commentary, maybe snark. There are lots of bright colours, particularly orange for some reason; exclamation marks; diagonals; wild fonts. [Content warnings for: crime, revealing clothing, guns, interpersonal violence, carceral and law enforcement imagery] #FollowFriday #film #cinema #movies #MoviePosters #cinemastodon #filmastodon #FilmNoir

They Drive by Night (1940) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Drive_by_Night Great lurid colour scheme and lighting. I'm slightly distracted by thinking there's no way you could actually get that shot of Bogart driving the car unless the car had been dismantled. #film #cinema #movies #MoviePosters #cinemastodon #filmastodon #FilmNoir

Secret Beyond the Door (1947) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Beyond_the_Door I'm not familiar with this film at all, I'll put it on my very very long list of movies to watch I guess. But at first glance this looks very much like a Bluebeard situation. You may open every door in the house, Joan Bennet, but not that extremely large green one! #film #cinema #movies #MoviePosters #cinemastodon #filmastodon #FilmNoir

The Big Sleep (1946) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Sleep_(1946_film) Oh come on, the picture they were born for is “Key Largo”. No wait, it's “To Have And Have Not”, no, wait… I like the design because it's so simple and restrained compared to most of the garish over-the-top ones in the collection. #film #cinema #movies #MoviePosters #cinemastodon #filmastodon #FilmNoir

The Desperate Hours (1955) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Desperate_Hours_(1955_film) Bogart pistol-whipping the other guy is all stock standard, but what's going on with that creepy guy offering the young woman a … bottle of wine? He looks like a side character from the Addams family. #film #cinema #movies #MoviePosters #cinemastodon #filmastodon #FilmNoir
