Mary i Max (2009) jest to australijska animacja poklatkowa, która zdecydowanie zasługuje na szerszy rozgłos. Film przedstawia historię przyjaźni, pełnej wzlotów i upadków. Australijska 8-latka nawiązuje kontakt z 40-latkiem ze Stanów Zjednoczonych.
