Friday is the 27th annual SysAdmin Appreciation Day, and our Platform Team Lead wrote about the job. The part we like most: the work is invisible on purpose. If you never notice the servers, networks, and DNS your email lives on, that's the whole point. We run all of it in-house, so when something breaks, nobody here waits on hold with a vendor.
