1600 comments and counting on Facebook. All on my post about my experiences in the COVID ICU. About 2/3 of them are supportive. About 1/3 are hateful and even threatening. Several of them had to be reported to law enforcement as credible threats. I keep seeing two common comments among the fascist MAGA cult members. One is about the vaccine killing millions of people. The other is about Remdesivir killing billions of people. The same Remdesivir their Lord and Savior Donald Jesus Trump took and called a miracle drug. (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/president-trump-completes-second-dose-of-the-remdesivir-drug) The COVID vaccine that their God Trump took is also in the crosshairs. But didn’t he take credit for creating the vaccine? So he created it but it killed millions and thus it is evil! (https://www.fox29.com/news/trump-takes-credit-for-covid-19-vaccine-i-hope-everyone-remembers) And even Trump himself took the very same vaccine! (https://apnews.com/article/coronavirus-pandemic-health-donald-trump-coronavirus-vaccine-74abcd4e6833835f5df445fe2142e22b) Another widely debunked claim was that hospitals and doctors made extra money by claiming deaths were from COVID. (https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/hospital-payments-and-the-covid-19-death-count/) Yet, there is not factual basis for that claim. Even if it were true, that money would have been set by the current federal administration which at the time was Trumps administration. So we are to believe that Trump authorized paying more to hospitals and doctors to lie about the number of COVID deaths? One last claim to look at. No one died of anything but COVID in 2020 and 2021. This is by far the more ignorant of the claims. The CDC itself refutes this as do various state governmental agencies. I have attached to charts below to show that COVID wasn’t even the leading cause of deaths in the USA. Yes, COVID was bad as a single cause and overwhelmed an already strained medical system. COVID-19, Dr Fauci Hover or focus to reveal Sensitive

My reflection on COVID-19 and the witch hunt against medical professionals like Dr. Fauci: This was me in July 2020 at the local hospital, where I was working 15-hour shifts at night in the COVID ICU. I had just suited up to go into a room to hold an iPad in front of a dying patient so their family could say goodbye. Families were not allowed to come to the hospital to see their dying loved one, so we found a way to help them say goodbye. If you are cheering the attacks on Dr. Fauci, you are the worst kind of person and certainly no Christian. I worked from late February to September of 2020 in that same COVID ICU. In early August 2020, I suffered a mental breakdown and was experiencing major anxiety and panic attacks. I had to leave my work at the hospital because it got so bad I could no longer function at the hospital. I sat in the office of the director of the chaplaincy program and cried. I felt I had failed them, the patients, and myself. Thankfully, after nearly 6 years of therapy, I am healing. To hear people attack Dr. Fauci and our wonderful nurses, doctors, orderlies, CNAs, LPNs, respiratory techs, chaplains, medical examiners, funeral directors, embalming technicians, and others who put their own health and families in danger to help others is so disappointing and depressing. It puts me right back at the hospital in 2020 after Trump claimed it was all a hoax and the crowds of people who thanked us a month earlier were there protesting and spitting on us. And yet, even knowing this would be the outcome of all our labor and our sacrifice, I have yet to meet one single medical professional who would not do it all over again. That is why they are called professionals. They care more about your life, the life of your family, and the lives in our communities than you do. But the conservatives in the US are far worse than anything I've seen in all my years.
