— Fastest on land, with fewer places to escape — Cheetahs are still Vulnerable, but only about 9% of their historic range remains. Many populations are small and isolated. Hotter days are pushing activity into the night, increasing overlap with lions and other larger predators. Climate change adds pressure to threats already there.
