My 15-year-old daughter just discovered feminist cinema criticism.
a. This is awesome
b. She consistently surprises me with how much she understands
c. She got here by way of a video essay on youtube that might have oversimplified the thesis. This led her to hunt down the original (1984) paper, with some help from me
d. She has printed the paper, bound it like a little book, and has spent the past two hours in her room reading it.
