From what I understand, they attacked a 7 round version of #AES and not the standardised 10 rounds for AES-128, no? If so, would the attack scale to the 14 rounds of AES-256? CC: @SteveBellovin@infosec.exchange @CryptoOrrDun@ioc.exchange

We need to #prioritize the most #vulnerable (ie. #Palestinians) support #regional blocs (ie. #AES), #reject "both sides-ism", build #SouthSouth solidarity, challenge #SubImperialism (ie. Indian occupation of #Kashmir), and practice #internationalism from below.

@jpaskaruk@growers.social Rad, thanks for the heads up on the multichannel card from them them - I bought a stereo card for my dad's birthday a few years ago, to upgrade a little pirate internet radio station I run for him. It works an absolute treat. Though now that I think about it there was a lot of confusion with the docs about setting vs versions, and it was a bunch of trial & error to get working with my setup, but flawless after. Indeed the pro audio world has largely moved away from the simple multichannel analogue signals. Most are running various flavours of #AES, or #MADI or #Dante or others. The DSP side is a whole other beast, and admittedly outside my scope of expertise.
