This was also at the Israel pavillion. The tourist map is "Greater Israel", which includes all of Gaza and West Bank, erasing all Palestine. I didn't get a personal look myself, but I imagine it included southern Lebanon as well, in their usual definition of "Greater Israel". If anybody has a more closeup photo, I would like to see it. Incidentally, if you haven't all seen the movie "Israelism", I strongly suggest you do. The Alberta NDP wants to hear where you stand on AI data centres. They are in St. Albert in Sturgeon County tonight (where Meta’s data centre is going) on a “listening tour” 6 p.m. at Red Willow Place, 7 Tache Street. I had questions about the tour…I’d like to say I received answers but I did not. Only about half of the data centre decision-makers surveyed said they were holding public forums or investing in local initiatives, while recent national polling shows that only 33% of developers are addressing grid reliability, and only 29% are responding to water consumption concerns. The report authors suggest “a disconnect between engagement efforts and community priorities.” You’d think data centre developers would pay attention to communities…but, no. My 81-year-old Mom, who's a widow and has no current photo ID was rejected today when we tried to get her a photo ID card. She's been living in Alberta since 1978 and has no current passport. She had her birth certificate but because she changed her last name when she got married in 1964, they could not issue her an ID card without her marriage certificate. We did not know where she may have stashed her marriage certificate since she moved into a senior's residence three years ago and had to downsize a lot of her things. These new rules are going to disenfranchise a lot of people hoping to vote in the referendum. We need to get the word out. If you are contacting another province for birth or marriage certificates, that will take time. Luckily for my mom, after searching through an old trunk with multiple albums and brown envelopes, we found the original marriage certificate. We'll be back at the registry in a couple of weeks to try and get that ID card. This UDP government is pure evil. #ableg #cdnpoli

Danielle Smith says there’s no way Alberta’s oil and gas will be part of the trade negotiations with the US. Despite Carney’s statements that ties to the US are “weaknesses” that must be corrected, Smith is focused on “strengthening our trading partnership with the US, selling more energy in all directions.” “We are prepared to sell them more energy. We're prepared to sell them more natural gas. We're prepared to sell them critical minerals and make sure that we continue to sell them the food products that they need so that they can do processing and keep their prices low for their consumers, keep housing prices low if we can get a softwood lumber deal.” She said this with a straight face while the price of gasoline in the US averages $4/gallon. As if Trump cares whether Americans are paying high prices for food, housing or fuel.
