Trust me on this, I've seen lightning explode light fixtures, walls and light bulbs. You do not want to be near anything plugged in during a storm.

10,000 RECORDS BROKEN: It's official: This March's number of high temperature records was higher than any month after 1950. In other words, this was the most intense, biggest heat wave in modern history.
429 stations set MONTHLY records MORE THAN 100 YEARS OLD. The longest period of record for one of those stations was Lawrence, Kansas, (157 years, or 1869). Daily + monthly records added up to over 10,000.
