@Techaltar@mas.to Despite trying, no other model has been found to fund the Internet. This is like Germany’s nuclear shutdown. You cannot stop a system that works (even if has evil features) until you have completely created a new system that recapitulates all the desirable features while being less evil.

@MonaApp@mastodon.social Mona will create a new copy of a Draft every time you open it and edit it. If I am editing a preexisting draft, it should simply update it with edits and save, instead of creating a new copy.

Maybe they get fined etc. There is no way to enforce the law against illegal entry other than border policing and raids of this kind. How would you know if someone entered legally unless you check a passport for the entry stamp?

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social Isn’t this only against illegal immigrants - and by illegal, I mean it is a criminal offence to enter a country without proper papers. Correct? Does that not make his labelling disingenuous but technically accurate. Disclaimer: I am not in the US but I have first hand experienced the painful bureaucracy of immigrating legally to Europe. And I was one of the lucky ones who have it ‘easy’.
