encountered this in the rust server with a troll who was speaking "ion fw ts" and like. no, you are not "not great at english", if you talk like this you have an incredible command of english. definitely enough to understand people requesting that you try to standardize, even if you answer "no". but not answering is hard to excuse
when you're the only one to reply to an optional question and the teacher thanks you for it

there is no way to disable this.
now, which key is "control" can be remapped, but the key to cause this behavior will always be control
