Yes, highly dependent on where one lives. I lived in Orange County, California and most of that is a suburban hell designed to barely work for people with cars, not at all for people without. I just sucked it up sometimes and walked the 1.5mi to Aldi anyway. Noise cancelling headphones help a lot.

@farah I think you live in the US, so this is probably not easy, but if you intellectually know you should get more exercise, but can't make it happen by signing up for a gym or whatever, look at your day to day & find ways to replace driving with walking. Maybe instead of getting a coffee from drive-thru after taking the kids to school, drive home and then walk to a coffee shop. Or make coffee at home and walk to a park to drink it. It's still not easy, but for me it's easier, maybe for you too

An hour before the agreed upon time I told him to ger the powerwasher from his grandpa, a mile away. After 30 minutes working on the driveway, I made him clean up the machine and carry it back to grandpa.
