I did not find a way to easily make an animation stop motion like in godot, so I made this, check alt text for raw text: #GodotEngine

It works pretty well for now, but if you have better ideas let me know. Feel free to use this code.

🥳 I finally have a working version of my concept.

Each component is animated based on emotion values.

I group components to apply the same emotions to them, or a blend of the group's and the component's emotion values.

I then animate everything by only changing the emotion values #Gamedev #godot

I might ignore a way to do that in a cleaner way, but I needed to blend 10 different animations at all time, so this is what the blend tree looks like, but don't worry I made a script that generated it, I don't have to maintain it manually 😅

This is the first test of my system. You change emotions/affects using sliders and it poses the eyebrow accordingly, blending them together. Can't wait to try with an entire face! #gamedev #godotengine

Okay, it's just a start for eyebrows, I'm experimenting. I'm using three different sliders and I should be able to make all expressions, but I might have to add a way to exaggerate expressions a bit since I aim for a more cartoony look.

Again, those are not final textures, only test ones.
