Having been following the saga of the malware dishwasher sending terabytes of data, what are my options for outbound whitelisting / firewalling if I'm running a Deco mesh?

Should I get a small physical device between that and the World, or can I monkey with the Deco settings? I can't see any obvious firewall-y settings.

Most of the really cool programming tricks and chops I've learned over the years have come from people younger than me, often significantly (10 years or more). Some of these were women. As I am getting older, this pool is only going to get bigger, so I figure my strategy only has upside. This is not a post about AI, just an observation about people. And gatekeeping, probably. Be excellent to each other. And try listening from time to time. It's amazing what Other People know, especially Other People who are not like you.

Lots of business development, lots of new 'AI' clients because 'UBS uses AI', zero publicity or admission outside of bubbles like ours about how the whole thing was a fraud. Similar to the UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) telling a company to 'not show an ad again' that is clearly misleading. There is no obligation to issue a retraction or to apply anything like the same publicity to the fact it was a lie, just a tacit admission that _that exact ad_ won't run again. (A similar, equally misleading ad will of course be hot on its heels.)

Is there a term for the post in a thread where it hits its diminishing return, where there is still some useful content before it collapses into an echo chamber of repetition or meta references to itself?

I'm talking way before any Godwin ad hominem attacks, just... Nothing Useful Beyond This Point.

I've noticed that I have become sensitized to when it is time to duck out of a thread, and I feel like there must be a name for that point.

Otherwise I'm claiming it as the Content Horizon: beyond here, no useful content can escape or be observed.
