Is it possible that major DNS providers such as Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and maybe also Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) are currently down or at least offer disruptive services? I normally don't use them, but colleagues sometimes do: Whereever I see any of configured in local setups, I get severe name resolution issues at the moment. Hmmm...
I am really clueless! How can we / someone tell journalists (#Deutschlandfunk, #derFreitag, #NDR Info, etc.pp.) that an American #billion (short scale) is a German #milliard (long scale)? I sooo regularly read and listen to misinterpretations of American financial numbers that are not converted by German press authors and thus secretly / implicitly multiplied by 10^3.
