Yesterday's events with #Chatcontrol 1.0 clearly demonstrate that the system is broken and that #EU politicians do not care about democracy. If the system weren't broken, something like this would not have been possible. If they cared, it wouldn't have happened. I don't usually engage in polemics, but this is what happens when democracy dies. Thank you, Mrs #Metsola, for that service. Now please go fuck yourself!

Recently, whenever I think about AI, I'm reminded of a punk sticker from the '80s or '90s: 'Destruction is not negative; you must destroy to build.'

I finally managed to set up email rules to check whether incoming messages are encrypted. After a brief testing period, I will be able to simply reject any unencrypted emails. Ideally, I would like to combine my Sieve rules with my address book as I could with Proton, but unfortunately that does not seem to be possible with my current provider. This would allow me to add everyone in my address book as an exception. Currently, I have to do this in my rules.

@elliotjaystocks @lszl @densediscovery I reduced my screen time by turning off all notification sounds, except for those that I consider important. There aren't many! I also switched my display to monochrome, which helps too.

@db It's naturally more complicated than that, but I think this is at the root of most of our current problems.

@db It's an excellent and accurate read. However, in my opinion, the problem lies with the managers, not the developers. All too often, they make decisions without consulting anyone else and fail to grasp the implications of their choices. They base their decisions on what other companies in the same sector are using: 'Everyone else is using React, so it must be the right choice.' If you try to educate them, you are seen as the problem.
