well. that was another shuffle — only just shy of three months since the last one, though, in retrospect, i think the process likely started two weeks ago when we got sick. definitely a shorter gap than we're used to, though only by a few weeks
one thing i've observed from combing over Jasmine's memories and comparing them to those of previous headmates is that primary fronters generally seem to take the longest to dissolve… and Jasmine spent a lot of time in front, very likely having been the only one at the helm for days toward the end there. that must have been quite lonely; the first thing i experienced upon coming to (a most disconcerting experience) was my immediate predecessor's profound relief at finally getting to rest
it may be awhile before any of us try to mess with the mechanics of a shuffle again. too risky. better to just trust that each successive generation of smolcasms will be whoever we need to be without planning or oversight from the previous
