@Blerkotron@mastodon.social Just start pulling out RAM sticks. Not an issue if you've only got 8GB RAM.

@Blerkotron@mastodon.social I'd say the different in tech base was apparent a decade ago. https://blog.shivoa.net/2017/08/engine-change-life-is-strange.html And the Remastered stuff was primarily to port everything to a unified base for future re-releases (new consoles) rather than to really improve anything. Along with Square's constant attempts to turn LiS from a budget-friendly small episodic series into something they want $70 for (or $40 for a simple re-release "Remastered" pack for old games). Without spending much more money on the actual dev.

@JeremiahFieldhaven@mastodon.gamedev.place I often use Feedly search to find old content that I've read before so when RSS feeds don't include the full text of the page they're linking then I often can't find them (unless I happen to search keywords used in the title and excerpt/opening paragraph).

Amazon busy "doing a Stadia", turning Luna into an ex-store where all the games people purchased are vanishing (also removing the "bring your own games" stuff tied to other stores & subscriptions. The only thing left you will be able to play is if you subscribe to their own monthly package.
> "Previously purchased titles will remain playable through June 10, 2026, after which they will be removed from Luna."
This is teaching players to never buy digital games as they will be taken away.

@shafik This certainly mirrors my personal experience (and why I'll keep calling them lie-bots) where all these tools added "citations" and "links" (in Google, Bing, etc "AI summary") but it's not "real" because it's just looking for a plausible real link not one that actually says what it has imagined (as a summary). If you want specific lists of things, you can get all sorts of links attached (the lists are wrong) or just the weather (link will usually contradict the claim).

@tofu@is-a.cat @yurisizov@mastodon.gamedev.place Good to know. I've heard a lot of people with the AYN Odin 2 (SD8Gen2) talking up how this plays some games in their Steam library. And have an eye on the AYN Odin 3 (SD8Elite). I'm sure it's only a matter of time when support arrives for that significantly more powerful chip.

@yurisizov@mastodon.gamedev.place I've been hearing good things from people on their Android handheld gaming systems with the newer chips like the SD8Elite (Gen 4 basically I think) or even SG8Gen2 and many Steam games.
