Microsoft will enforce software IP until the bitter end. Here's their recent archival release of Tim Paterson's DOS:

"[it] targets Seattle Computer Products' ASM assembler, so you will need a copy. It can be obtained from any release of 86-DOS or MS-DOS by Seattle Computer Products."

@yaxu Pretty great find. I'm not familiar with any of his work for dance/movement/etc... unless you include opera/theater. Does it exist? This doesn't lessen the guidance in any way. Just asking if there is a direct connection.

I'm often humbled by how little I know about the problems I'm trying to solve.

But "Fixing Without Understanding" by @jessitron@hachyderm.io has the unintentional consequence of reminding me of how infrequency I use Gerry Sussman's "programming by poking" approach.

Being able to inspect the dryer's internals before you attempt to fix it makes a tremendous difference.
