I workout every day on a sports field next to a university campus, a place I always considered safe because people actually leave their stuff on the stands and workout on the field. It’s expected you respect other’s belongings. Today I left my gloves on the first stand and proceeded to stretch on the field. A woman came by, placed her bike next to the gloves, covered the gloves with her jacket and started running. I witnessed it all and said nothing because she didn’t take the gloves, “just” covered them. I ended my routine and thought about asking her to move her jacket so I could recover my gloves but she was training on the other side of the field, so I simply lifted her jacket, recovered my gloves and left. I now believe she thought she could get em for free and nobody would notice. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid. Does this look like an opportunist thief to you?

how many of you buy stilettos / shoes online?

I can understand buying shoes online if you’re looking for a specific model and brand you already tried and fits. This is not my case: I’m looking for stiletto heels online because where I live there are not sizes that match my feet or heels are too short. Online there are several stiletto makers, most of them China based, meaning that if I don’t like the shoes or they don’t fit, I have to pay the return shipping costs, which are most likely higher than the purchase price. most sellers include a sizing chart, but this means nothing: I’ve bought shoes according to their charts and sometimes they’re off, meaning to make it make sense I’d have to buy several sizes to see which one fits and return the ones that don’t. Overall seems to be a losing proposition, but where I am I find no high heels that fit me. Has any of you ever done something like this?

Ladies and cobblers, what's the point of high ankle straps anyway?

compare these 2 high heeled sandals: the ankle strap on the white model seems like a good choice: it’s low enough for the feet to slide in and wont touch the leg, meaning nothing constrains the ankle’s rotation. the red model seems like an odd choice: won’t it make it ankle rotation more cumbersome? It would be more logical to attach the ankle strap to the foot and not the leg. Or am I missing something? It also looks strange, having an ankle strap so high. Why would the designer attach the strap right at the end of the slingback and not in the middle, like in the white model?

correct, half a size smaller. Title corrected. I want them to be as versatile as possible, so both events only and all day long. Would the smaller size be a problem? I can buy em, test em for 4 weeks and return if not happy with them

nice, a cobbler :D shoe size is largely a suggestion. does this mean the same nominal size can mean more than one inch in length? In this case, the seller provides both the sizing and the shoe’s length, explicitly stating to trust the length more than the sizing, that’s why I’m giving it a shot. It is possible to stretch shoes Now I’m curious. How would you stretch this stiletto sandal? see below

Ladies, would you advise buying a size smaller than your usual one for high heeled sandals?

my regular shoe size is US 11 (10.5 in, 26.7 cm), so I’d be buying a US 10.5 (10.3 in, 26.2 cm). A coworker I know does this sometimes. She says its ok with heeled sandals and slingbacks, but not ok with pumps, because sandals and slingbacks are open. What’s your experience? I really like that model and size 11 is sold out.
