How do you change the default font for LibreOffice spreadsheet app Calc?
This question illustrates how ux and ui design still has a way to go in major open source projects that seek to compete with popular proprietary software.
1. The method is not where you'd expect it.
2. It doesn't change the default for Calc, only for that file.
3. Normal users shouldn't have to mess with "templates" and give them "specific names".
4. If the above is wrong, that adds weight to the fact that a fairly tech confident person couldn't find the correct answer.
If I was a billionaire, I'd set up a Foundation to sponsor work on open source UX and UI design.

I've finally removed MS Office.
I've been using LibreOffice for years, but I kept MS Office around for "business tasks", ... filling in forms and spreadsheets sent to me, where a formatting screw up would mean actual costs and disadvantages.
LibreOffice is still not giving me full confidence - that UI is a factor, but I'm going with it.
Fingers crossed.

I have decided never to use Gnome as long as it behaves like this.
And I will be advising people of good conscience not to either, highlighting the disparity that you don't allow fellows from Iran but you do from ***, citing inconvenience as your reason not to do anything about it.

I see replies suggesting this is US law.
But you can move outside the USA, that doesn't seem like a sincere excuse.
I seem to recall OpenBSD moved outside the USA to Canada due to their immoral laws.
There are many reasons not to be in the USA.
Saying it takes effort tells us how much you value your comfort vs human suffering.

I initially thought the code patches were AI generated and the contributor and blog writer was human.
But this thread is suggesting the contributor and blog writer was also not human.
What next? Will it order dangerous chemicals from amazon and deliver them to the register address via nslookup? will it automatically use ToR to find an assassin on the dark web?
I'm certain huge horrors lie ahead...
