I have a friend who's into web development. In the early days when we met, he would make bloated websites that would send a lot of javascript, and ask me to checkout his site. I would always open the site with JS disabled, and show him how broken his site is.
Today, he again asked me to check out his site. And, again I opened it JS disabled. But, this time to my surprise, the site not only looked great but was also almost completely functional!
He told me, "I knew you'd try this, so I put extra effort to make it work without JS".
