@frank @ripper @th @ErinRose UK sockets have a little plastic (normally closed) shutter over the live/neutral holes: the only way to open them is by pushing the end of a lever inside the earth/ground hole at the top (which is why, on UK plugs, the earth pin is slightly longer than the other two: it's also at a different orientation to help reduce accidental unpluggings and attempts to use the plug the wrong way round)

@signalapp Why not change the message to "To setup Signal on your new phone, please enter code ..." to make it absolutely clear what the code is for and create additional friction for scammers as they'll have to come up with an excuse as to why it says new phone.

It's amazing how CCTV and body cams work and are covering just the right area when the company needs them but are inoperative or pointing the wrong way when anybody else (victims) needs the footage.
