This tool has literally changed and improved my posture for public web searching. Hister's search box is now the default search in my browser, and with 6 months of history it satisfy all my recall queries. I don't use browser bookmarks anymore, as I can search everything quickly.
I have mixed feelings when I learn more things reading a SKILL.md from a whatever github repo than from the original software documentation.
I see a very uniform design among recent blog posts.
Does this "Claude style" have a name?
Is it beautiful? Doesn't matter, we have lived a decade with Bootstrap
The best tv serie watched this year: The House of Spirit, an adaptation of Isabelle Allende's novel https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33022938

Does robots.txt still matters? Short answer: yes.
A wrong committed robots.txt and Googlebot (real bot, verified IP block) can hammer an application (Solr server CPU in the graph), until an aggressive rate limit is applied.
End of the story: the application queries should be improved.
Pagefind¹ 1.5 is out! Most notable feature I see now (or maybe was already there?) is searching from multiple sites²
> Pagefind can be configured to search across multiple sites, merging results and filters into a single response. Multisite search configuration happens entirely in the browser, by pointing one Pagefind instance at multiple search bundles.

I love simple and usable software. Lazycut¹ enters my toolset today. A brilliant tui for ffmpeg: cut a video, and convert (can change aspect).
LosslessCut² and Handbrake³ are good, but they have more features than I need

~ vips dzsave large.tiff large.iiif --id http://example.com/iiif/1 --layout iiif3
@ed@digipres.club @danielvanstrien@sigmoid.social Yes, it's actually vips dzsave (https://www.libvips.org/API/current/method.Image.dzsave.html) The great thing about this script is that it doesn't use any dependencies to create the manifest it just uses this object (https://huggingface.co/datasets/uv-scripts/iiif-tiles/blob/main/tile_iiif.py#L69-L117)
A very simple and effective python script by @danielvanstrien@sigmoid.social https://huggingface.co/datasets/uv-scripts/iiif-tiles/blob/main/tile_iiif.py wrapping pyvips and the new Huggingface storage to create #IIIF Level 0 tiles and manifest

The comments are funny, but the question is legitimate.
And €38,500 for a 100 years wordpress hosting https://wordpress.com/100-year/ ? I wouldn't trust them.
