I occasionally find myself noticing something about someone that deserves a compliment but am exceedingly conscious of the risk of being creepy. In approximately 0% of these situations do I have any interest in it becoming flirty, but un-loaded compliments are nice. “Drop and run” seems like an ideal strategy.

IIRC, the more traditional conservative the party of first preference, the more people follow the HTV cards. So Liberal and Labor HTVs have a stronger influence on actual votes cast than Green, independent or ON HTVs.

I realise I’m one of “today’s lucky 10,000”, but it took me until my 50s to learn it so I’ll share and maybe someone else can be in that 10,000 as well:
Being a middle-aged testosterone-having person, I have been bothered by the presence of more nose and ear hair than I’d like for some time now (I’m not a very hairy person, but these things are relative). For at least a decade, I have dealt with this by semi-regularly grabbing tweezers in one hand, smooshing various bits of cartilage around with the other hand, then trying (only partially effectively) to yank out the more bothersome hairs from said orifices.
Today, I finally tried an ear and nostril wax at a nearby waxing salon.
Holy shit you guys! (and I use the word “guys” advisedly) - it’s amazing! So quick and easy, not painful at all, gets every hair, and now I just don’t need to fuss with it for… I dunno, weeks at least, maybe longer? It was so straightforward that now I’m looking at what else they have on the menu - strongly considering getting my eyebrows done as well (not removed, just … tamed).
And yes, I realise lots and lots of people - especially those upon whom society puts more pressure to remove bodily hair - already know this to a “water is wet” degree of obviousness, but the contrast between what I had been doing, and what I’ll be doing henceforth, positively shook me.

@JustJimWillDo the poll was intended in the context of the post up-thread: I’m looking for designs on T-shirts that aren’t just AI-powered rip-offs of someone else’s original idea. The consensus seems to be “probably none of them, but Threadless and Redbubble might still have some non-plagiarised content”. I don’t care so much about whether the ideas are licensed by original IP holders (go wild with riffing on anything Disney owns, for example), more whether the creativity in the design is original or just a glorified photocopy of someone else’s work.

Since we live in this timeline, and every funny T-shirt design that is pushed into my feed is likely to be an AI-powered rip-off of someone’s actually original and clever idea, does anyone have recommendations for where I might be more likely to find originals? Or alternatively, a suggested ban-list of sites that host mostly or entirely plagiarised content?
