Linux audio help? I’ve never tried a toot like this before, and maybe no one will even see it, but worth a try… I have a lot of FLAC files, mostly ripped from my CD collection, though recently, as better than CD quality files have become more available, I sometimes do buy album downloads. Anyway, I would like to copy a bunch of tracks to my phone to listen to on shuffle, but they have varying volume levels. I tried copying some to a folder on my Debian workstation, from recent Kpop (very loud) to New Wave ripped from CDs that I bought in the ‘80s (very quiet), and everything in between. I then ran normalize-audio on them, which did, indeed, normalize the volume levels nicely. It also stripped out all existing tags such as Artist and Title. Does anyone have any suggestions for normalizing the volume while retaining the existing metadata? Thanks in advance for any tips! (And boosts are welcome.) #LinuxAudio #flac #music #linux #audio
