Well played, WHMT, well played.
Not from around here, but a real square little fellow.

Origami installation at the Ukrainian consulate in NYC.
1921. Don't know who and can't decipher the writing on the bottom. I think this is in Littleton, Massachusetts , back when operators had the exchanges right in their houses.
Just found an Eee in a box of deceased laptops. Plugged it in. Boots to Lubuntu (circa 2014?) Or Joli OS (boots, but there is no there, there). Lubuntu is still there, just needs to have the password reset.
Wonder what I can run on it next. Probably not Windows 11.

So, listening to Bremen Eins and in the ticker, where you'd usually see the artists and the song title, they've been sneaking in the World Cup scores. Pretty slick, Bremen Eins, pretty slick.
Has anyone told him that the United States was not a signatory of the 1839 Treaty of London? I mean, it may have been athletic fraud....
Just sitting here, watching the hummingbirds at the feeder and wondering about their sense of time. Does the 20-second feed seem like a leisurely meal? Good to see I'm not alone in thinking about this: https://www.cell.com/trends/cognitive-sciences/fulltext/S1364-6613(26)00108-7?_returnURL=https%3A%2F%2Flinkinghub.elsevier.com%2Fretrieve%2Fpii%2FS1364661326001087%3Fshowall%3Dtrue&__cf_chl_tk=pqjP.Vi.i3IOfY2u75FoElzHJXeiyfHNBYRf33FJiBo-1782251712-1.0.1.1-8my7fINFIOlNND9FL2puflUdqfT9otT5Z0dkPOPo0L8
Better jump down a manhole
Light yourself a candle
Don’t wear sandals
Try to avoid the scandals
Don’t wanna be a bum
You better chew gum
The pump don’t work
’Cause the vandals took the handles

Listening to Raidio na Life out of Dublin and they're playing the Killer's Human in Irish and Welsh. How cool is that?
This is just fun.
In Florence, there's a great huge cathedral with an eight-sided dome built by Brunelleschi in 1436. An engineering marvel.
This dome is about half the height of the diameter and the dome formed by the mountain folds is supported by a flatter dome of the valley folds inside, which sort of reminds me of Brunelleschi. Of course, all the twisting makes it more grotesque than Romanesque, but what of that? I got to use loxodromes -- a rhumb lot, your loxodromes are, a rhumb lot.
You better buy yourself a new pair of shoes
And walk for a lifetime on a pace renewed
You better buy yourself an electric guitar
You better play, there's no other way
To beat the blues.
I beat 'em.
Pete Townshend and about as obscure as he gets. I think the pace renewed bit must be a reference to Meher Baba, who is said to have been something of a fast walker.

This is excellent and "magician" is exactly the right word.
Not paper, but nevertheless way cool.
