For African countries #Russia is not a pariah, but can be an experienced supplier of cheap #NuclearPower solutions.

Japan has restarted its 15th nuclear unit after Tohoku earthquake and tsunami and Fukushima disaster. It's a welcomed move that will help ease effects of limited fossil fuels supply from Persian Gulf.
Before disaster NPPs supplied up to 30% of Japans electric energy. In 2023 this number was as low as 5.5%, but is expected to rise to 20%.
Finnish TVO's Olkiluoto-2 was reconnected to grid after refueling outage. According to company's post on X, no damage to fuel assemblies were found.
Refueling outage of OL-1 will start on Sunday, 19.04.
Bulgaria exercises cautious approach after two unsuccessful attempts to build new nuclear power plant in Belene.
It will be interesting to see the Kozloduy site to grow to 8 units.

Will Hungary have its Hanhikivi or Belene moment?
In Hanhikivi, Finland, construction of VVER-1200 (AES-2006) has not started when project was abandoned after Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In Belene, Bulgaria, project was cancelled in 2012 for economic reasons.
Univ of Illinois Urbana-Champaign applied to NRC for permit for construction of a research reactor - KRONOS micro modular reactor from NANO.
