@joalchin You can tell a dysphoric day when they all look sh*t ... every angle, lighting, you just look wrong no matter what. Better give up and try tomorrow I've learned (or going outside can reset dysphoria too)

I changed pic on my avatar - to my Intro pic. No sunglasses, I feel free to be me without a defensive blocklist of 000s. Lower shields Mr Sulu, no klingons on the starboard bow here💜

BTW posting pics during #Transition helps #trans folk reduce dysphoria, a process of accepting one's change. I may post the odd pic (spoilered) so please tolerate 🙏

An element of narcissism? Perhaps- trans people are no more immune to this than anyone else 😉 so feel free to filter using #Transition

After 7 days I can say it's SUCH a great place if you dive-in. Crazy statistic - in one week I have 50% of the followers I had on the birdsite in a year. MORE to the point, far more diverse chats too:

People are genuine
Communication is not algorithm-filtered
I feel #SafeToBeMe as trans
I can openly post on diverse interests, knowing folk can filter by hashtag
Fast+effective moderators 💜
Admins reach-out personally ❤️

@rorystarr The reason this doesn't happen (until now) is because he's effectively taken an $44billion acquisition private What does Musk he have to report now to the SEC etc? Quarterly statements, outlook? Or can he basically go rogue as long as his board doesn't stop him? I follow this stuff (was reading Activision Blizzards filings to work out why Microsoft will pay $67 billion, but then Kotick's one helluva CEO)

@basexperience I'm thinking of Larry Ellison who put in $1billion on this. But even Larry who had a huge ego, stepped aside and let business people run Oracle. However I read that Musk had deleted all the texts between himself and Larry just before this would have gone to trial so maybe Larry had some serious doubts too 😂 I've been through mergers, acquisitions on the acquiring *and* being acquired sides. Can be brutal, but this just looks like total madness and recklessness

@rorystarr I read it 👍 and it seems more and more likely, his ego must have got so big he's stopped listening to strategic advisors, or only tolerates yes-men as advisors now Even if he HAS a grand plan, the way he's going about it ie slash-and-burn must have halved the value vs acquisition price? ... and be burning trust all around him I'm really and truly gob-smacked and I've been long-term in a couple of tech giants both worth a lot more than Twitter (yes I know Twitter isn't really #tech)

@rorystarr The only logical explanation is he's going to raze it to the ground 🔥 (fast) and massively change the business model, building off the base Twitter architecture, repurposed. But... He can't make money on a Blue subscription model, advertising revenue must be plummeting - so *where's* he going with this? 🤔 No one can *really* see it - well I can't yet!
