There are so many interesting podcasts. I've just finished an episode of Under The Influence where Terry O'reilly answers questions about advertizing from listeners. Very interesting as always. I wish I had a group of friends to hear these with and discuss. These shows pass the time nicely, but they could do more with a group of engaged listeners getting to know each other while learning about so many things.

Well folks, it's the start of Summer. I'm out on my balcony after enjoying a scrumptious bacon and egg brunch. I have most of a wonderful cup of Jumping Bean Screech Rum coffee to finish and tons of fun listening. Plenty of books, dramas and podcasts. I love this expansive charged liminal feeling. All of my obligations have taken as Summer break. Two months of restorative exploration. Hopefully, there'll be a bit more socializing than last Summer.

@LeonianUniverse@caneandable.social @NicksWorld@mastodon.stickbear.me Rather than get a whole new device, try setting the do not disturb focus or creating one specifically for reading. You can get very specific about what and who can interrupt you and minimize the interruptions. Make a habit of checking the notifications centre and you shouldn't miss out on anything. I do everything on my iPhone and have set notifications settings and focusses so I'm not distracted when I don't want to be.

@daygar@tweesecake.social I heard that Apple was going to change how age verification works. I guess they're aware of the difficulties people are having. Hope you're not stuck in limbo too long.

@mcourcel @WirlOfWirls One thing I didn't catch is whether you could have vibration signals for indicating time. I use taptic time on my Apple watch all the time and there should be an equivalent option for iPhones.

@robini71 Perhaps, the idea is to lump environment and accessibility all into one day. People wanting to dum down the population and thwart progress must look for opportunities like that. You don't want the backlash from actually cancelling such events or preventing causes from being acknowledged. However, if you can put movement of sober second thought into the same day, you have a better chance of sneaking shady suff past everyone the rest of the year.

@robini71 More variety is great, but any additions would have to be things that are useful or desirable for the widest possible sampling of people. You can certainly come up with some creativity which matches whatever particular cause you're fundraising for. However, the more niche an item is, the less you'll attract people who stumble onto your efforts versus people already interested in supporting them. Some unique items might work if they're attractive or quirky enough.

@mcourcel I've just preordered the app. My Apple Watch takes care of time related stuff very nicely for me, but this one will go in the fourth edition of my book. People shouldn't need an Apple Watch to have this kind of functionality. Much of it should just be in the clock app.

Just polished off a light lunch after the morning's meeting. We had a few new members join us. Hope I didn't scare any of them offf. I think the cession went pretty well. Next up, there's the one o'clock Unseen Touchscreen course lecture. Think I'm as prepared as I can be.

@jpellis2008@dragonscave.space That certainly brings back some cherished memories. Text adventures were a big part of growing up for me. The Infocom games will always have a special place in my gamer's heart and on my iPhone. I'm so thankful that I got the Masterpieces of Infocom CD and copied the games to my iCloud drive.

Good morning everyone. Today is a very exciting and busy one. This morning is my chance to spend our CCB chapter online meeting teaching the material I've just added to my book about what your iPhone can offer if you face danger. In the afternoon, there's my Unseen Touchscreen lecture about avoiding scams and online crime which owning an iPhone can expose you to. Also, I'll be keeping an ear out for Apple 50th anniversary surprises and hope to hear the liftoff of Artemis II this evening. Wow!!!
