Similarly going from unsigned binaries to signed via non-airgapped key is still "better" since Eve has to steal a key *and* compromise a binary. Certainly some risk of "false sense of security" there but ....

@slink@fosstodon.org @0xKaishakunin@mastodon.social reproducible builds are great but in some ways orthogonal to "how to sign". One benefit you can only really get from fully reproducible builds is that multiple devs can build, confirm and sign with their own keys.

That was the last part I really heard ;) since I at least _mentally_ left the interview at that point
