Zuckerberg's new smart glasses records 24/7 for "AI" purposes or whatever? So like, even if you can trust the device owners (shocking news: you can't) those images are still going to Meta. Even if you can somehow believe AI seeing literally everything isn't a problem (spoilers: it is). Anyone remember how Tesla employees have been caught perving on their customers multiple times with the cameras built-in to their cars? AI isn't going to be the only ones looking at those pictures.

@cargot_robbie@urbanists.social yeah, i don't get helmets with devices in them. i can almost buy the disposability of a cheap LED strip for extra visibility, but then they throw a lithium-ion battery in there to power it? god. there's gotta be a better solution.

@AmyZenunim I'm so sorry. That's such bullshit. :neocat_heart: This kind of shit is why I'm trying to get the pre-reqs I need to get into a nursing program. I'm just done with professional computer touching at this point. I hope you're eventually able to find a job that doesn't force this kind of horse shit on you. Or if you're actually serious about the farm thing, I do know some pretty rad resources for aspiring farmers I could send your way?
