(Also Carplay should work, but I haven't tested it in an actual car).

@ChadF @dave Yeah, I've always had it on the highest. I tried to put it on medium but it still burnt extremely fast. I even had to add $40 of extra credits to finish a work thing, and it basically burnt through them in 20 minutes 😂 Every time I refreshed the usage page I could see it had used $2. If this is basically the "real cost", then I think the whole AI card house might come crashing down at some point, and people look towards local or non-frontier models for a lot of work.

@dave As Mitch said, this is definitely on borrowed time though. Soon Codex will likely up their price and lower their usage as well... And then I think it will take some months where vendors will have to work on price and efficiency versus capability

@dave I even tried making Claude just the planner and it delegate all work to Codex (Codex being set to extra high effort) which still resulted in Claude burning like mad, using 25% of weekly capacity in hours and Codex, that actually did the work, using like 2-3% of weekly usage. Something is definitely up. On the plus side though, I've learnt to enjoy Codex and 5.4, so I might just continue with that.

@dave Claude Code has become almost unusable for me. My coworkers do not seem to have the same problem, but I am on the $200/mth plan and my usage goes down like ABSOLUTELY crazy. In the past I could work on like 7 parallel projects and keep Claude Code going for all of them without running out of weekly usage. Now with just 1 project I run out after 4 days.

@james probably a variant of the UPS scam where they direct you to a fake delivery website where it costs "$10" for delivery or something, but where you actually end up paying a large number. My mom recently almost fell for something like that where it said it would charge her (through apple pay) $0.008 - but if you read the fine terms it's a "trial" and in 1 day it would charge her the annual price of $700 for the "software service" etc.

A good Claude.md = amazing Installing skills = wow Installing the "superpower" skills and asking Claude "Please search online and find other relevant skills for this project" (and it then installing things like supabase skills etc.) = Living in the god damn future.

@adam @dave Eek, I see a bug, where Podfriend creates a new ActivityPub item, even when one already exist. I will fix this, and hope to test it next Friday when you publish a new episode with an activitypub item! So many bugs! But also: So many fixes!
