Uitbesteden wordt vaak verdedigd met de smoes "Automatisering is niet ons primaire proces."
M.i. een waardeloze redenering, want de overheid heeft o.a. forse administratieve taken. Die werden voorheen gewoon door ambtenaren uitgevoerd. Als je een deel van die ambtenaren vervangt door programma's op computers is dat niet ineens iets dat je wel zou kunnen uitbesteden.Het blijft een primair proces van de overheid. Bewaken dat een externe partij het goed doet mislukt altijd.
