@atlauren@mastodon.social oh yeah, it’s one of KC’s best BBQ places. Just gotta go when the line isn’t so bad, or call in a to-go order, those jump the line. That’s probably a 30-45 minute line. I usually won’t get in line if it’s past the door.
Totally missed that Apple added Kansas City to Look Around last month. Street View was the only feature I would go to Google Maps for. Pretty sure we got it because we’re the only World Cup host city that didn’t already have it.

I've had some coworkers that seemed to sense when they were about to get fired and jumped ship a bit ahead of that. I wonder if Alan Dye had a feeling that he'd better get while the getting was good.
I don't think Apple execs had even thought about it yet, but if Dye was that good at office politics he probably figured it wouldn't be long now.

@jackbrewster@hachyderm.io my doctor has an alternative where they take a super-high resolution photo of my eyes instead of dilating. Unfortunately my insurance doesn’t cover it but it’s worth the $50 extra to me. (Also they can keep a running record of my eyes and compare year-to-year)
Wonder how long before people coming to the US start doing:
- Backup iphone at home
- Leave iphone at home
- Go through US customs
- Buy iphone in US
- Restore backup
- Return iphone before going back home.
