I finished my #SlipstravaganzaBlanket it took 3 winters of work to get this to #FinishedObject
I started this during a dark part of Covid lockdown and depression in my life so I picked the brightest colours I could to bring some of that into my life.
I’m so happy to have completed this and I love how it turned out and how well it looks in my bright new home.

I definitely understand
neither of my partners is super local one is a plane ride away and the other a 45 minute drive.
I will say most days and nights I absolutely love being able to do whatever I want and having downtime to do my hobbies
I hope you find a lot of that same independent joy
The hardest part of my week now that I live alone is Saturday nights.
All my people are busy with their other lives and I can end up feeling second best and alone.
I’m working Saturday so I spent my Friday off going to the Aquarium with my nephew. Oh and cuddles with my cat! #catsOfMastodon #Aquarium
I used to fall asleep by imagining a world I wanted to inhabit in my dreams.
Lately my imagination has been broken. I don’t read much, I have a hard time focusing to journal. But I sleep terribly because I had to be exhaled to sleep now

After losing my uncle a few weeks ago I’ve been thinking a lot about death & legacies
There was an estrangement and so I didn’t know my uncle very well but he reminded me of my grandpa
And that’s what keeps sticking with me there is one less person in the world to remember my Grandpa and the little family that he built with my grandma.
A family that sometimes referred to itself as a hotel for the number of teens that washed up on the shore of their family life

Thanks! The teacher I had was great some instruction then put on some music and let us practice while she came around with some tips or support. Really a nice way to spend a couple hours after work

@Walican132@mastodon.social there’s a local school of art that runs adult classes in the evenings they run a series called X for the Petrified
So this was Drawing for the Petrified and they have Painting, Pottery etc and it’s just 4 weeks and they provide all the materials so you don’t buy a bunch of stuff for a hobby you might not enjoy
I took a class to learn to draw this month and while I’m not going to make a living at this I feel so much more comfortable doodling in my notebooks and like I can keep enjoying it going forward
