@derek@www.glidden.life @jonah@mastodon.neat.computer yeah, I guess my rpi with 2GB was a "poor man's edition" 🙈 It failed to even compile the assets. It is still running gotosocial, tuwunel, and sesrxng though 🙂

@jonah@mastodon.neat.computer mastodon can't quite run on rpi, unless you either have a beefy rpi, or use some trimmed down version. But yeah, many fediverse servers can run on rpi easily (gotosocial comes to mind).

GitHub launched fine-grained tokens several years ago, but still recommend classic PAT for MCP auth (MCP became a thing _after_ fine-grained tokens were introduced). And then microslop is angry for being called that. Maybe ask Copilot about security implications of using classic tokens for auth...

@mcSlibinas @vac element is just the client. Does the job. For server I'm running my own tuwunel instance. Single go binary. Works like a charm. Runs on a raspberry pi alongside gotosocial, searxng, thelounge, and a few other services.
