@skull Hah! Your photos and comments actually inspired me to look at possible gear and the GTi is one of the things I've definitely decided on! (When I can justify the spend.) I already have a Canon 90D that I decided to buy after I took photos of the total solar eclipse a couple of years ago. For that, I used my older T3i, a 300mm zoom lens, and hand-adjusted the mount, so pretty much anything would be an improvement. There's still the problem of light pollution, but I can always drive out of town. You've inspired me to try to resume two old hobbies of mine that I have been lax at practicing: photography and astronomy, so thank you!

@skull I'm in Tampa, on the West coast right along Central Florida, which I think is actually white in the center, where I live. You are doing an amazing job of taking such nice photos with your location! (Of course, that's also a REALLY impressive piece of kit you've got!) I would really like to get some kind of tracking head for my camera/tripod, which I suspect would give me the best cost-for-shot at actually photographing anything. Thanks for answering!

@skull I am pretty sure you've posted somewhere, but what part of the world are you getting these great photos, and with what equipment? The sky is so burned out where I live, I feel like I'd have a hard time even seeing guide stars to align the telescope correctly. Then just try to track to take a decent photo. So, rather than my poor attempts, keep posting please. 🙂

Even so, I do like the fact that I ran my social media presence off of one for quite some time. I believe mine has been repurposed into a semi-useless Kali box at the moment. (I have a few and I lose them once in a while until they reboot and come back onto the network... #onlyraspberrypithings )

It worked fine, except it would lose wifi every so often and go offline, which was enough to encourage me move it to the main server. It worked happily for over a year though.

@greem My doctor probably saved my life by asking me to get my prostate checked when my PSAs started to waver, going a bit higher than normal. It doesn't take much, guys, and the earlier you find out, the better the prognosis. It turned out to be early-early-stage cancer, and with a bit of surgery, it's been "cured" for now. If I had waited, or ignored it, who knows where I'd be now. My urologist told me that _every male_ is going to get prostate cancer eventually, it's just a matter of what age, and if you die of something else first. If you aren't having PSAs tested regularly, or with your regular checkups, ask your doctor to start. Also, both my GP and my Urologist said that you really should start getting checked around 40, rather than 50. You can put it off, but the earlier you start checking it, the safer you will be.

@evacide@hachyderm.io If they make SSRIs/anti-depressants/etc schedule 1 - which is the first step they will take - then I don't know what to do. I can "live" without them, but my quality of life is miserable. That's why I'm on them in the first place. My doctor and I - MY DOCTOR - worked for years to get everything dialed in, and right now, I'M FINE. Take those away from me and, well, I'm not fine. Time to call some pharmacies in Mexico I guess.
