@nileane@nileane.fr based on work experience: even with decent trackpads, people (think they?) don’t like trackpads and just use mouse. at least they keep asking me for mice, not better trackpads. now, this is probably because of the previously poor quality of trackpads, and if trackpads were much better, then users might ask for them (though whether we could afford them at that point is a different problem…).

there doesn’t seem to be a pds guide for @ubernauten@uberspace.social, and the install instructions on github leave a lot to be desired (“just use this script but also don’t if your environment is even remotely nonstandard”)

technical philosophy aside, it seems clear that bluesky/blacksky has a significant community that’s just missing from here and won’t come (back) here anytime soon.
