@nileane@nileane.fr they have been ok for quite some time (at least for some manufacturers). Most of them are also simply to small. To this day Lenovo is shipping Thinkpads with minuscule trackpads. There would be enough space if it were not for the stupid mouse buttons.

@viticci as a Mac and Windows user let me tell you: I jumped ship to Apple Music from Spotify because I found that all of their interfaces are bad. So unfortunately Apple Music is the alternative I had to settle for. At least they don’t try to ram podcasts and audiobooks down my throat to boost my session time or whatever they tell their shareholders that it is they doubled last year.

Core idea is that that AI in its current meaning is antithetical to open source as it has been understood or free software as it was defined by the FSF. You know, because if they told you everything they trained on, someone motivated should start looking for the entire Harry Potter universe in there just to name a prominent example that has already been in the news for Anthropic specifically.

@Lilith@chaos.social @arturN@mastodon.world es würde ja schon reichen wenn man algorithmusfreie Nutzung so einfach machen würde wie algorithmusgetriebene Nutzung… es gibt technisch gesehen zB. eine lineare Timeline auf Instagram in der nur meine gefolgten Accounts sehe… aber die müsste ich eben jedes Mal manuell auswählen. Keine Möglichkeit die als Standard einzustellen.
