@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social plptools seems to have been in various states of working throughout the 30-or-so years of its life. There are a few new maintainers now and we're doing our best to make things a little more user-friendly. Reconnect uses plptools under the hood to manage the connection to the Psion so it's helping us find all the rough edges and compatibility issues. 🙃

The latest release of Reconnect, my #psion connectivity suite for macOS, is out with support for incremental backups, making it even easier to protect your precious files. Reconnect will need to perform an initial full backup but, after that, it should only back up the files that have changed. It takes backups of my Series 7 from about an hour, down to roughly a minute. While traveling a few years ago, I wrote TinyBoard—a macOS app and firmware for the Raytac MDBT50Q-RX that simulates a USB keyboard and mouse, letting you send events from your Mac. Paired with a cheap HDMI capture card, it's a great solution for working with SBCs on-the-go.

Continuing my push to ship my various projects, I've set up builds to make it easier for folks to use. Let me know if you find it useful, have feature requests, or you need help getting started.

Since returning from my travels, I've been continuing to push on with various software and hardware projects. Last week, I released an update to Reconnect—my modern Psion connectivity suite for macOS—which adds support for restoring backups, to both EPOC16 and EPOC32 devices.
