Biochemist by training and nowadays software developer by passion. Interested in a lot of things and topics (maybe too many). Do not expect a consistent themes on posts. However, expect antifascism and tech stuff. also expect post in German and English. Other then that, there will be interesting things, things I was curious or amused about in that moment and also totally irrelevant stuff :)

Yesterday was labour day. One of the prevalent topics I overheard discussed during a march and later were:
Should productivity gains not lead to us working less, producing the same stuff for the same price? Freeing us from work getting more dense all the time?
Another one was along the lines: Why are we producing faster and more of the things no one needs an wants?
Both very important questions in my view. Both topics no political discussion is about.

@TestPappy@mstdn.social keeps writing about the fears and issues I share before I find the time to articulate them myself.
> Sustainable teams distribute load. They share knowledge. They build redundancy, not dependency. They design robust processes. When you let an AI agent become the central producer, you’re not building a stronger team. You’re building a fragile one with a shiny new single point of failure.

Just finished reading "Threat modeling" by @adamshostack@infosec.exchange
Thank you for that book. As far as I can judge it is really helpful for me to wrap my head around the topic. Also thank you for including not only methodology but also general advice on how to introduce it (or other things) in an organisation and facilitate it.
It was a good read. I really enjoyed it.

Finally, I found the time to write and publish my summary of #osco25
It felt good writing it down, especially the non-chronological part ;)

RE: @lisihocke@mastodon.social
It was such a wonderful conference. Thank you and your fellow organisers so much for creating this space!
Reading this blog article just let me re-live part of it. Can't wait for next year :)

Just a quick thought about open spaces:
OpenSpace conferences like #socrates and #osco feel like enabling conferences. They bring you into contact with like minded people, let you try yourself in various situations like presenting, taking part, asking questions. They also bring you into contact with seasoned speakers and facilitators. And all persons are willing to learn and teach.

I plan to bring some training locks and a simple #lockpicking set with me to @OSCo@infosec.exchange. However, I'm not good at picking locks - mostly it feels like random poking until they open or I get bored. Maybe someone can help me and others to get started? Of course we can always poke at the locks together and see where it takes us. #osco25
