Well I guess it just took 2 minutes to hack the Eu id app

Hacking the #EU #AgeVerification app in under 2 minutes.
During setup, the app asks you to create a PIN. After entry, the app encrypts it and saves it in the shared_prefs directory.
1. It shouldn't be encrypted at all - that's a really poor design.
It's not cryptographically tied to the vault which contains the identity data.
So, an attacker can simply remove the PinEnc/PinIV values from the shared_prefs file and restart the app.
After choosing a different PIN, the app presents credentials created under the old profile and let's the attacker present them as valid.
Other issues:
1. Rate limiting is an incrementing number in the same config file. Just reset it to 0 and keep trying.
2. "UseBiometricAuth" is a boolean, also in the same file. Set it to false and it just skips that step.
Seriously @vonderleyen - this product will be the catalyst for an enormous breach at some point. It's just a matter of time.

I'm not sure I believe this :) my experience has been I have to fill out the customs form with the harmonized codes before it is shipped. I have shipped many international packages. Also when shipping a container (like on a semi truck) had to do the paperwork and seal the container
Those were exports though. I haven't imported much. I don't think you import a bunch of random shit and have the broker figure out all the codes. The harmonized codes are international not solely USA. It can be tricky because some things like apparel or fabrics have different codes if it is manmade like spandex or nylon or natural like Cotton. Yes working now plus the text is available. Looks like another ~/.age file thing. Ask their age and put it in a text file so other apps can read it Although this seems to add a penalty if parents allow minors to type in their own age.

Finally an update to DKIM. See they slide in Ed25519 sigs pretending it wasn't already a standard that nobody implemented for like a whole decade (mostly, i think proton and a few smaller players support those sigs but none of the big guys budged.)
Doing something odd with JSON i think. Where is that supposed to go lol. Are we going to blow up the headers even more with JSON structures Header canonicalization on SMTP email is so much fun i know. :) i wrote my own signer. For v1 anyway. Took quite a bit of time for me to figure out that there can be no CRLF at the end of the header block you are signing :)

IPv8 intended to fix the issues with IPv6
IANA completed allocation of the IPv4 unicast address space in February 2011. Regional Internet Registries exhausted their allocations between 2011 and 2020. CGNAT extended IPv4 life at the cost of latency, peer-to-peer protocol breakage, and troubleshooting complexity.
IPv6 [RFC8200] was developed to address exhaustion. After 25 years of standardisation and deployment effort IPv6 carries a minority of global internet traffic. The dual-stack transition model -- requiring every device, application, and network to simultaneously support both protocols -- proved commercially unacceptable. The absence of a forcing function meant organisations could continue with CGNAT indefinitely.
IPv8 resolves address exhaustion without dual-stack operation. IPv4 is a proper subset of IPv8. The transition requires no flag day and creates no operational discontinuity.
